Virtual Metronome (vMetronome) is a metronome for iPhone/iPod touch.

According to the company, it has “all the features from the best hardware metronomes, but at incredibly low price”: about a hundred times cheaper than a hardware metronome with the same features, the company swears.

It is said to be suitable for drummers who want to play complex patterns.

Features :
  • 1. Large BPM Range (10–300), lets you play all the song you want.
  • 2. Tap tempo, to quickly get the tempo from a song.
  • 3. Extreme precision: we are here talking about absolute precision equivalent to the one got with hardware metronomes. try it and tell everyone your iPhone has a metronome keeping a steady tempo for a whole 5 minute song with complex patterns, with no drift!
  • 4. Can play eighth, sixteenth, shuffles. Time signature from 1/4 to 8/4.
  • 5. Volume for any sound can be adjusted, very useful if you want to play complex patterns with higher volumes on key sounds.
  • 6. LEDs triggered by beats balancing from left to right continuously.
  • 7. Tempo can be adjusted on the fly without restarting the metronome, very useful for live performance.
  • 8. State of the metronome saved at shutdown.

Features of the new version (November 11th 2009 release):
  • 1. Large choice of sound
  • 2. UI modified for better user experience
