The Overtube is an evolution of Jacques Tubeblower it a TS808 overdrive even got handed over the day. It has a SETTING THE gain, volume, tone and a switch named cascade, which replaces the second potentiomtre Tone of the Tubeblower. This button is used to simulate the cascade produced by the two TS808 used together, as did SRV. This is an analog pedals, it is team of two jacks and a power adapter 9 V standard. It can be battery powered, which is trs ACCS ais. However, no battery is provided, which is DSOL when one considers that his team in Maxon OD808, yet less onreuse. Of course the box is green and small. Too bad they deleted the second potentiomtre of Tone. The Aesthetics can be improved, it looks more like a Berhinger that a high-end style pedals Maxon.

UTILIZATION

The use is very simple and intuitive, the stroke of potentiomtres trs is progressive. Nothing simpler. It gets to the point that FCHE with the manual. I find it unfortunate that a brand that claims Franaise and as such, does not provide a damn instructions in French, and possde a website in the language of Mrs Thatcher! I know it must be exported and that English is necessary, but a manual and a website in French would not t particulirement expensive I think.
Moreover, reading potentiomtres is not the most comfortable, from an OD808 or OD9.

SOUND QUALITY

I use the pedals with a Start and an LP, in Koch and Bogner amps. It's in an amp lamps that works best feedback, but it remains a compelling hardware transistors. Compared the Maxon OD808, the Overtube offers a bit more gain and a less pronounced grain. But most importantly, it meets more of his records and not n'crase low as 808. I find a apprciable especially when you want to increase the distortion of an amplifier. With the Maxon, I love the grain, but when I went down into the grave, I see a small loss of dynamic compression. None of this with Jacques, which is more neutral and keeps all the dynamics, without inflating the exagrment mdiums. Sound so fabulous. Cascade and the switch adds treble and high mdiums, for a singing overdrive trs, the limit of the fuzz.

OVERALL OPINION

Before the pedals, I have owned or used a Maxon OD808 and OD9, a DOD 250, a Boss Blues Driver. The ratio quality price is right, because it's a great pedals, but could probably be best if we Whereas it is made in Europe and freight costs lower than those of his Maxon pedals as Asian. J'apprcie compliance offered by the Jacques and the cascade button that adds shine. 808 is a kind of modernized, with a little more gain, more progressiv in rglages and without loss of dynamic compression and excessive. However, I keep my 808 because it has a little more grain, color more vintage, more savage. Difference is a subtle but significant. Jacques holds the rank from the Maxon is fabulous though. The overtube is I think a good trs pedals for overdrive rconcillier lovers and those who love bass. I AIM potentiomtres of barely legible, but given the sound, I forgive.

Very small, but all green ... real good metal.
it may look like at first to effect a little cheap but that's it.

Okay so it's not the boss ...
branch and it is played, that's for sure ... but the little green buttons you discover something new every time you touch them!

SOUND QUALITY

And the sound ... what a sound!
a pedal that fully respects the spectrum of your guitar without crushing at all and two tubeblower cascade via a small switch ... it is simply magical, and a good tube amp you can play a whole afternoon without tiring .

Jacques Charbit, you're my living God!
I bought it direct to his home in his den full of Marseille raretées 6 string after a good fitting tranquillou ...
Forget everything you may know of overdrives and pay you an overtube ... it's the best investment you make (I had one quleques (MXR, ZW, Rocktron, dan'O, Boss etc. .. .).
