It is about a distortion unit / overdrive in the British character.
Analog pedal 9V, three knobs, Level, Tone and Drive as standard on the TS9.
Robust housing chrome and true bypass switch.

UTILIZATION

All attempts at Vox in the 2000s was to impose as a major manufacturer of pedals and multi-effects. The V830 was a singular proposition to stand out from the tidal wave of these TS like the US's by offering a more clearly British model of a sound perspective.
TS Tube Screamer it means here we all know. Tubbe Screamer mean "screamer lamps" that we are already a little less knowledge, and it is clear that many beginners often do not understand that these pedals are in addition to a tube amp. And it is only in this union were born the great sounds.
I have married this pedal with Vox, at first, a Vox AC30 cc2 or I got a little tangled brush, and it is with Orange Rockerverb 50 head that I pulled the quintessence of this little pedal.

SOUND QUALITY

An incredible drive, a power chording, not the two-note power chords, but the person is not afraid to play all the strings. For the V830 delivers a unique musicality and quickly get to Mr. Gallagher.
But the solos I admit the beast proves too flashy chouille sibilance with a delicate hair cut and noise gate too the soul of this pedal. A must have for fans of OASIS or Brian Jonstown massacre.

OVERALL OPINION

An overdrive / distortion to make the game full chords. A unique toy that eventually complete a small arsenal of pedals on a pedalboard war.

Pedals for distortion / boost analog. slightly between the two because it can blow up the natural distortion of the amplifier or other pedals.

SOUND QUALITY

Rglages effective rgler my taste to the grave because there is still a trickle rather keen on micro Gnant simple.
the sound is sharp enough and warm depending on rglages.
TS9 distortion ranging from the rat colr.
harmonic magnificent, superb transparency.
works best with humbuckers (less screaming)

OVERALL OPINION

Overall though trs, trs INTERESTED effect for certain types of amps. rglages effective, I found with it the sound of the solo of Money, non INTERESTED ..
That said there is a small cot screaming that can generate useful but trs slamming a solo.
