Passive Monitors, 3-way, can double amplification (low torque and med / high)
montioring used in proximity (between 1.5 and 3 m), no complaints. I amplifies a BGW GTA, but a monster neccessities amplification up to 2 ohms ... then do it with this amp treat! I tried a Yamaha P2200, the sound seems more round, but because the yam does not accept the very low impedance in the high end speakers, so it reduces the top (that does not bgw) So rétressissement the stereo, and all that .... Weastlake recommends Vincent amp, but at 3000 euros single piece is out of question, the acoustics of my studio is not up to par, and my door either monaie

SOUNDS

- The frequency curve is beautifully neutral (tested with Sia Smaart Live), provided they have the matching amp (see above). These speakers are the BASSS, and even a good sub as long as we the acoustic sounds correct.
- The stereo image is excellent, all is wonderful place where our pan sends, and everything changes depending on the amp (see above). the stereo image is projected in front of the speakers, we find ourselves in and not face it. Some do not like is a choice.
- The sound is clear and precise throughout, the guitars are hot, the batteries have all the punch they are given, the votes are there, clear and not aggressive, it's really happy.
- The dynamics is respected, it's really clean.

OVERALL OPINION

I use them for 6 months, 1 full month in September, every day. What I like most is loyalty, not aggressive precision, comfort of work. What I like least ..... weight can be? 30 pounds for passive speakers!
I compared with Genelec 1031 and 1032, and there is no photo, Genelec's awful. Everything is very colorful in doing nothing, so we can not work with Genelec, in any case I have trouble myself. I love Weastlake because they do not bousillent ears tired after 6 hours of work (Genelec compessées are too, too ... you can hear it worked and it bothers me a lot).
Disont I do not know the original price, so I can not judge, but my purchase price was correct for that quality.
I would do this choice without a doubt, and I hope they are affordable because I intend to buy another plant for my voice, and two versions for two voices surround.

26-01-06: I had a contact at Weastlake in Germany, and is not given as enclosure: 4700 euros a pair. There, with the price of a good amp to put in the ass, it goes pretty .. So I think the price value is medium. So I can not, unfortunately, again the choice for the 5.1 (out of my budget). But if you find a OCCAZ between 1500 and 2000 the pair, jump on it (by having a very good amp!)
I takes only 8 for the price.
