Then:
AMD Athlon XP-M 2600 + (2GHz)

512 MB DDR

60 GB hard drive
Reader 4 in 1 (Memory Stick, MMC, SD, SmartMedia)

15.1-inch screen with Diamond View Technology
4 USB 2.0

S-Vido
1199 tax (on the packard bell site, I took my 1299 Darty)
Trs good laptop, comes with XP Home (which plant svrement but I may be an isolated case), with all updates available today (29.08.04 ) it's really trs stable, no crash is a joy, the CPU is a vacuum between 0 and 1% with my magix running about 14 tracks with 2 or 3 plugs per track it rises 70% no more. The Ram is sold 1x512 MB 2x256 MB but I have I do not know why it's confirmed.
The internal sound card (Realtek AC'97) dpanne time to afford a good card (I personally recommend the Echo Indigo I / O that works wonders in PCMCIA). The graphics card that can pump 64 MB of ram and not 128 as much which is not a bad one can put a plug over without crashing!
As the processor is an Athlon ds a heater that starts to do something more complicated than dmineur, so the fan is running all the time. It is silent plutt means no "note" but just the sound of breath that does not pass into the microphones so it's all good!

One point the report XP cd does not come with the packard bell but MasterCd is even do-it-from writing software provided. (I, I have not thought of. And another, four USB 2.0 hub so some are pripheriques can not be recognized (camera camscope ...)

Today I am happy trs trs. For that price I've seen better kidney and even comparable (in Windows XP ...). I do it again without any hsitation this choice, everything is good except possibly be the VIA chipset but not much.
