It is a sony and exudes quality ds opening the carton.
specs: 1.73 Ghz Centrino platform (chipset 855), a linear array 512 MB DDR 2700, 60GB (5400RPM) Screen 14 "SXGA + (1400x1024) Win XP Pro. And it is only 2.3 kg including battery.

The software suite is bloated and includes everything needed to make the video, burning, managing MP3 or picture editing: Adobe Premire, Photoshop elt, Sonic stage - with Sony Oxford plugs and Waves L1, please!
on the other hand, there is no CD / DVD recovery (the system is on the hard disk but you have the option to make your own recovery kit, a software house offers you and asks you to either 10 or CDR 2 DVD + / - R

In practice, it is quiet except for full load or fan emits a light (discrete) snoring (which is covered ds at the music plays ...)
The screen is just beautiful - color, contrast, brightness ... Although 14-inch, it has a display area next level with the RESOLUTION. A must!
Power, A is equivalent centrino 1.73 ghz little prs March 1 if I remember correctly then ... a falls well that's what I have on my fixed and I never saturated the beast ...

The memory upgrade will come when I feel the limits of the beast but I know dja gold and it cost me 70 in corsair Value (Verify-compatible with the technicians and LDLC Corsair, via mail)
Battery Talk time is about 2 / 3 hours, which is OK for a laptop (my old Acer was better but this one has the merit to show in addition to the% remaining battery time counter a small, practical ...)

If you are "relatively" limited budget - 1030 to June 2005, see Mr. Price, but you want a quality and reliable mobile surquip ... and without compromising power over Qualitprix etc ... Go for it. you can not be due.

EDIT (07/15/05):
The chipset is a TI firewire controller ... therefore compatible with most cartessons FW.

History of quibbling, the only default that I have found is a little slow in posting a standard (Pb rsolu optimizing Windows settings ...)
