At Musikmesse, Peavey said they have been busy developing control solutions using third-party devices, in particular the iPod and iPhone.
Demonstrations were planned of an iPod Touch controlling a NION system over Peavey’s RATC (Remote Access Terminal Control) Ethernet protocol.
According to Peavey, the NION product range will now include a new Acoustic Echo Cancellation (AEC) card, featuring eight mic inputs with advanced acoustic echo cancellation, designed for boardroom applications. Signals elsewhere in the system, such as CobraNet inputs, can also be flexibly routed to the AEC processors.
Among the latest updates to NWare, Peavey’s proprietary network management software, is control for the CKi and Ci power amplifier ranges from Crest. Peavey announced these have been fully integrated into NWare, allowing amplifier functions to be controlled and monitored from NWare projects.
