My model dates from 1968, is in good condition for a granny and m 'has cost 4 times less in the U.S. than in France, shipping included. Do not hesitate to walk on Ebay U.S. in this regard!
In short, as everyone knows, this pedal works "backwards" from the others: the springs operate compresion and not stretching: it gives a rather special feeling but we made it very very quickly: without their level (and far alas ...) I understand better how Paice and Bonham particular unfolded semiquavers in the big, cushy guys ... back ... Bat is very manly and say well it helps for this: after the sensation the "direct" can gener some (s) but I am very quickly acclimated. My other is a Camco pedal, but also vintage .... more conventional system.
Brief bliss for me, I'll probably buy another in elsewhere who will be there as a backup or for spare in case of breakage.
Maintenance is super fastoche: loosen the large screw closing each vertical tube, the springs are in: WD 40 to clean all this, drying and oiling and winding and hop is gone.
When there is more fat it's been like "Since I've been lovin 'you" on the LZ 3: each movement of the right foot of John Henry B. is audible. But hey there to play like him .... it is better grease!

That said 250 Euros in France for a new model, I do not see the interest.
