For the SXSW 2015, SoundToys releases a new free plug-in that will drastically process any vocal track on Mac and Windows.
The Little AlterBoy is a VST, AU and AAX native plug-in for Mac OS X and Windows based on pitch and formant shift processing, with hard-tune feature and tube saturation models from the Decapitator virtual effect.
You can use it to create EMD style octave effect, robotic voices, harmonies, change vocal gender, double it and create weird sound effects.
To download Little AlterBoy, you’ll need both SoundToys and iLok accounts (but no iLok USB dongle is required) as well as a redeem code. The developper posted a few codes on the web but we at Audiofanzine can provide you with two, and don’t hesitate to add yours in the comments below: 281–0043–357 and 382–5293–567.
The Little AlterBoy is available at www.soundtoys.com.
