Positive Grid finally release the final version of its Bias Desktop guitar amp simulator for Mac and PC.

Bias Desktop is the computer version of Bias, the amp simulator app for iOS. It is available in VST, AU, RTAS and AAX plug-in formats.

Bias Desktop includes 36 HD amp models that you can fully customize (preamps, EQ, power amps, transformers, cabs and mic selection and placement), you can even change the physical aspect of the amps (color of the tolex, name, knobs…), then save and share these presets with other Bias users on ToneCloud. Positive Grid adds that artists are also collaborating on these platform.

Bias is available in two versions: the standard for $99 and the Professional ($199) that includes the Amp Matching technology, a feature that allows Bias to reproduce the sound of an amp from a sonic capture (a miked amp or a recording) so that you can, for instance, jam on a track or complete a recording when you don’t have the original amp anymore.

The Pro version also ships with exclusive Amp Matching models and three expansion packs (Glassy, Crunch and Insane).

All the details are online at www.positivegrid.com. Videos are available in the media section above, here is a new one showing the Amp Matching feature:
