Ace is the first “virtual” creation by boutique effect pedal manufacturer Shattered Glass Audio.
For this first attempt, they modeled an iconic vintage US 5W valve amp from the 50s, to which they added feedback amount control and a grid stopper resistor emulation, both of which can be disabled to get the original amp sound.
Ace also features a switchable cab emulation and a 2x, 4x and 8x oversampling function.
Ace is a VST2 and AU 32 and 64-bit plug-in for Mac OS X and Windows. It is available as a freeware at www.shatteredglassaudio.com, donations are also welcome.
