Heptode has announced the release of the Mac OS X Universal Binary versions of its Virtual Deep Crunch and Virtual Heavy Tone free VST effect plug-ins.
Version 1.03 updates are also available for the Windows versions, fixing a few minor bugs.
Deep Crunch and Heavy Tone are the official emulations of the analog guitar pedals manufactured by Heptode. Inspired by the Soldano SLO-100 amp crunch channel, Virtual Deep Crunch produces “tubish crunchy sounds” and Heavy Tone “tubish hi-gain distortion, ” according to Heptode.
