URS has announced the release of version 2.5 of its Saturation plug-in, which now is said to include ten vintage analog algorithms with the addition of the Transformer British algorithm.
The Transformer Core Saturation algorithms are designed to add non linear transformer core saturation as found on vintage consoles, tape machines and outboard gear. The Transformer British algorithm digitally recreates Vintage British transformer saturation found in high end early 1970s recording consoles.
The Transformer British algorithm can be used to fix brittle digitally recorded audio, according to URS.
