FilterShaper 3 now offers 2 filters, 60 LFOs, 50 envelope followers, a new larger waveform editor with an oscilloscope, all this within a new GUI that, according to Cableguys, is still to be improved.
In detail, the developer added Sallen-Key type filters with drive and improved the modulation capacities: the LFO speed and amount can be modulated for example, and LFOs can be MIDI-triggered and tempo-synced, and all knobs display the modulations in real time.
Last, an online preset library has been created to get you started.
This version being a beta, there is still work to be done. Cableguys announces that the wave editor will feature an Undo/Redo feature, the online library will receive more presets, envelope followers will be changed and the CPU charge should be lighter.
FilterShaper 3 is available in AU and VST formats (32 and 64-bit) for Mac OS X and Windows. The final version will have a price of 69€ but you can pre-order it now with the v2 that costs only 49€ or the Cableguys Bundle, currently on sale with a 20% discount, for both include a v3 free upgrade.
You can download the free public beta for Windows here and there for Mac OS X.
