Friday’s Freeware: STA Phaser
This week, you can download the phaser from the Audified STA Effects bundle for free.
The STA Phaser, just like all other 5 effects in the STA Effects (for Summing Tube Amplifier) virtual rack, is based on tube circuit modeling.
The VST 2/3, AU and AAX plug-in for Mac OS X and Windows gives you the ability to choose between 4 waveforms, 5 operation modes, various sync modes and to adjust the speed, depth, intensity of the phaser effect and saturate it. A Tap button is also available, along with a Wet only option that allows for using the STA Phaser on a send bus, and you can check the input and output levels on the VU-meters. Last, Audified included some presets to help you discover the capacities of the STA Phaser.
STA Phaser is available for free download from audified.com. You’ll need to add it to the cart and “purchase” it like a paid plug-in in order to receive a serial number.
