MasterCheck is a new audio analysis plug-in designed for mixing and mastering engineers who work for the new audio digital diffusion platforms such as iTunes or Spotify, and the not-so-new TV and radio. With this utility, you can listen to the audio the way the end user will listen to it on the different platforms, which allows you to adjust the mix/master if needed and avoid another loudness war.
The MasterCheck plug-in results are compliant with the latest audio standards such as EBU R128, ATSC A/85, ARIB TR-B32, OP-59, AGCOM 219/9/CSP and DPP. It will display Program and Short-Term loudness, Peak to Loudness Ratio (PLR) and intersample peak measurements.
MasterCheck is a VST2/3, AU, RTAS, AudioSuite and AAX plug-in for Mac OS X and Windows 32/64-bit. It is available for $129 and you can download a trial version from www.nugenaudio.com/mastercheck-playout-loudness-and-dynamics-metering-aax-au-vst_41.
Second announcement, Nugen Audio opened a public beta testing phase for the second version of the Visualiser analyzer plug-in. This v2 adds a new resizable user interface, Avid HDX support and a standalone version. You can register to test Visualiser 2 at www.nugenaudio.com/visualizer-audio-analysis-suite-fft-level-meter-plugin-aax-au-vst_26.
Last, in October, if you purchase any plug-in or bundle at the Nugen Audio webstore or at authorized retailers, you’ll get another one for free. The offer is not quantity-limited so the more you buy, the more free plug-ins/bundles you’ll receive.
