The very best in anti-pop
Published on 09/01/14 at 11:42 (This content has been automatically translated from French)The filter that returns all other shelved. It is made of metal, with an orientation which "chase" air downwardly. it's simple, but he had to think. Unlike antipop fabric that mitigate somewhat the upper spectrum (sometimes it's also a benefit for a singer that accentuates sibilance), Stedman is absolutely transparent sonically.

I have several anti-pop, but it's my favorite. It is becoming very strong and last a long time. Models fabric indulge sooner or later, the metal does not move. Recommended!00 - stompboxjon
glad i have it
Published on 05/21/12 at 21:39The Stedman ProScreen 100 provides the quality you need to get those crisp clear vocals without any pops or hisses. Most people overlook the importance of a pop filter and they think they can just purchase any pop filter from any music store because they are all the same. That is not the case, it’s the same way with anything you buy, you get what you pay for. Sure this pop filter may cost a little more than your ordinary off brand basic ones that you can get anywhere. But you will pay the extra bucks for a reason and once you have it you will know just what I mean.

A good thing about this pop filter is you can actually wash it. That is very important to me because with all of the vocals getting recorded from all types of different people pop filters can get pretty nasty. Some artist record with it really close to their mouth to the point where its touching, which is pretty gross especially when the person before them was just using it and naturally when we say certain words we spit. We cant help it its just the way it is. So with so many people using it you want to be able to wash it from time to time. A lot of other pop filters you cant just wash because it will tear or puncture them.
Wire mesh pop filters are better than regular ones and the Stedman Pro Screen 100 is wire mesh and ready to go. Like I said it may cost a little more than the cheap ones but its worth I big time and it will last you a long time and you wont have to worry about it getting tore ripped or tarnished. You can keep it for years and years and it will serve its purpose.

You Must Purchase It!
Published on 11/25/11 at 17:44I purchased this pop filter to replace a previous pop filter that I had owned for 10 years (yea it was long over due)
The Stedman is pop filter made out of metal (mesh like design) rather than fabric like a lot of other filters you can find at guitar center (or other music stores). It's attached to a flexible gooseneck making it easy to position around the condenser mic. I had no problems using this popfilter with my Behringer B2 Or my SP B3 condenser mics

I love this popfilter because
1. It gets the job done
2. It's inexpensive
3. It's washable!

Just the fact the filter is washable makes it worth purchasing. If you've ever done recording and know that the fabric pop filters can start to smell bad over time. It holds onto your clients oral bacteria and should be considered a health hazard but that's another story in itself.
I haven't compared the stedman against any other wire mesh filters only the fabric ones. I wish these filters were around when I was 1st building my recording studio. I've purchased 3 of them. 1 for my studio another for my pod casting setup and a 3rd for my wife's voice over setup.
I think everyone with a recording setup should have these pop filter it does it's job and it does it without flawSee less00 - moosersPublished on 11/23/11 at 17:59The Stedman Proscreen 100 is a professional pop filter that is made out of metal screen. It's a unique design that is especially effective. This version of their patented pop filter attached to the end of a mic stand, while the Proscreen 101 has it's own goose neck style arm that attached to the side of a stand or wherever else you want to clamp it onto. It is said to be more effective than fabric pop screens where you will lose some high end frequencies along the way.

The Stedman Proscreen 100 is really a must have for any studio. Of course every studio needs a pro screen, and if you're a professional studio it's going to be worth it to spend a few extra bucks on something like the Stedman. I haven't tested this out against a nylon/fabric pop screen, but this does seem to do a great job of removing sibilance and I haven't noticed any decrease in quality when you take it off the mic. I like that this one attached to a mic stand, as I find that the version with the neck is often harder to place because of the neck and you usually need to put it on it's own stand anyway. I don't know what the exact difference in price is, but if you have plenty of stands around I'd say it's worth it to save a few extra dollars with the Proscreen 100 when compared to the 101, but it really doesn't matter much either way. The only other pop filter that I've used that matches this one is the Pete's Place Audio screen which also uses a unique metal filter rather than a fabric one. I'd recommend checking out both of these if you're looking to add a true and professional pop filter to your studio.See less00
