The price, sound, power, compactness.

It is heavy (23 kg). But hey, it's also a sign of strength.

I also have a pair of Altec, but in a different format and with various components (41 cm boomers Altec and EV tweeters engines, power 500W) connected to an Amp Dynacord PAA 880. I had also compact EV.
