Pearl DR-501C

Here is an opinion on the rack of the 500 series

This series of racks pro drumkit composed of chrome foot T-bars and square section aluminum. The set is strong, the feet are fixs on solid bases with large cahoutchouc.

Depending on the selected rack, different clamp is provided:
PCL-100: plugs into a vertical tube, allows to set a boom cymbal)
PCX-100: clamp that attaches to rack (care section) allows to set a boom arm or tom
PCX-200: Optional lment, same PCX-100 plus a possible direction

The series consists of the following:
- DR-503: Rack 3 straight bars (3 bars, 3 feet) supplied with 2 PCL-100 clamps and clamp 4 PCX-100
- DR-501: a rack straight bar (1 bar, 2 feet) supplied with 2 clamps and 2 PCL-100 PCX-100 clamp
- DR-501E: extension right (1 bar, 1 walk)

In the same order of IDE, we find version "curved" or a "C" in the name. These versions have bars lightweight curves pousent positioning of your toms
- DR-501C: same as DR-501, but version "curved"
- DR-501CE: same as DR-501C, but version "curved"

I personally possde a sytem composed of an L-DR-501C and an extension DR-501CE
The main advantage of this rack is I find the square section of the fixing bar, no worries because of srrage mcaniquement, the clamp can not rotate.
Otherwise, say anything, it has largely dimmensionn not move, it is more sturdy and beautiful (but is subjective background)
The ct "curved" can push lightweight form gives your drumkit, I found a nice. Aesthetics is purely my opinion against the right version.

A word about the clamps:
I possde the 3 types of clamp, PCL-100, PCX and PCX-100-200
idem, say anything, it is clearly the high end of the big cam, with butterflies trs ergonomic gripping ffective without forcing ... short, the good stuff.
One advantage to clamp PCX-200, which guide the arm tom.

Overall, I would not stay on the benefits of rack systems (Modular floor space available, assembly-disassembly quick dsolidarisation toms over the bass drum ... etc)
For cons, I find the Pearl system well located in relation to others (eg Gibraltar)
It is trs COMPTITE price level and I find this system really IDAL square bar (no wear because the screw tightening need not be straight forward to take it correctly)
