SWR Interstellar Overdrive

2 lamps and one ECC83 12AX7 tube for distortion .. bass is not every day ...
good phase inversion, sound enhancer (very efficient) and all the crap needed (DI out, tuner out, effects loop etc) ...

It sounds swr with a floor lamp disto (12AX7), although violent .... well rounded overall sound (even distortion, that's strong point) something pretty ... you can switch (with a foot switch for example) the distortion level, but you can also connect a pedal modulation and modulate the rate of distortion in real tps.
I personally switch but I do not consistently plays with a little crunch ... my sound when I attack saturates longer (more dynamic) and I drill better in a mix (and still have the bottom) ... since I have little use on stage, but especially in the studio ...

UTILIZATION

A bad preamp is not complicated .. one branch and it sounds .. Jeff Ament of Pearl Jam used it in a time loop effect on another preamp only as a distortion pedal ... SWR his very large and well defined (listen to Richard Bona ..)

SOUNDS

It can fit any style but with the advantage of the disto ... you say rock?

OVERALL OPINION

This amp is no longer manufactured by SWR in 1999, it is found in states and even less in Europe, this model (the one I'm talking about) is the first version.

I joined a group (LORD OF MUSHROOMS) as a bassist, it was a concert I used this preamp on a peavey tko 80 (ow chuis no bass player Basically, not laugh) but frankly I had a violent and well despite the power stage "average" of TKO and the poor .. 15 inches;
