Feadóg Irish flutes are among the classics to have.

The instrument is easy to play and very cheap.

I recommend to buy D (in D) to Irish music, or else C (in C), but there are a full range of tone essential if you want to play whatever tone.

I've always played on Feadóg, and I can not be disappointed with this brand. How could I anyway? A 5 euros flute, price / quality ratio is excellent.

I play mostly with a version in D (D) non-tunable

Note that Andrea Corr (The Corrs group) has also its array of whistle (in addition to its two walton, his 2 generation, and its chieftain).
