OVERALL OPINION

I just full notice JDY to say that the V-neck is actually very big but perfect if you play like me with your thumb to the bass.
It also sounds better than the Recording King (but tastes and colors ...) sounding weaker, poorer, less hot but without the side "old pot" makes old Resonator so endearing ...
I dreamed of a metal resonator long, I could not find anything good to less than 800 € and 60 years of age ...
Like all high ranges made in Asia at the Gretsch one likes or dislikes, but it's very good!

Made in China but the cone is 100% aluminum and handmade. It was he who did all the sound of the guitar.

The handle is slightly V (in my opinion), I think they say "U" at Gretsch.

There is only 12 fret out what checkbox is not and it bothers me a bit I must say. Caise is small the 16in instead of the usual 17. So this is a lil model and I play with a footrest with right leg.

UTILIZATION

The handle is cheap but nice. The guitar is very heavy so not easy to keep it at the beginning.

The tuners are cheap but good as we feel they have done everything in the cone and it does not bother me: I was looking for a good sound and without any prior ruin me!

A friend who plays on National was amazed by the projection! After this is not the same sound as a true dobro ... do not dream but you have to find a way to enter the world of resonators!

SOUNDS

The sound sounds better. I ironed 12-54 to open E and A and to play in standard tuning (in a regal gypsy jazz) but for the big sound I préféais 16-56 in open D and G, then send it!

OVERALL OPINION

In fact I think it is well above the reso Fender and aria. However I have not been able to test the recording king ... If not for the Republic, they are not in France and I have already paid 150 euros for a custom guitar from the U.S. so good, I prefer to buy which is distributed in Europe.

- 12frettes (it seems that the sound is better in terms of harmonic resonance and therefore it is also a matter of taste) In any case we must think before buying a resonator ...
