I use 4 since mid 2010, Cygnus machines having already toured 200h before.

I obviously already used lots of scanners, in that range or more.
My opinion is mixed, there is the idea but always a catch.

Color: not too bad, but some colors are too dark or too translucent, like a yellow or red, green, blah blah.

Gobo: even notice that the colors, gobos kit not too bad but could have done better.

Dimmer Shutter: The shutter for blackout and strobe the dimmer is effective but is has no ch ** r, it dimme anything, it cuts the beam in a fully visible in projection.

Movements: fast enough but lack of precision in the movements slow enough, we see a small blows ... Otherwise the placement of the mirror is ingenious, placed relatively low to that high position, while the beam is well thought out and there is no loss.

Reliability: it is fairly reliable, some bad contacts on the lamp circuit, is case sensitive if regular handling.

The value for money is so so, it's expensive for what is being proposed, no focus servo, no prism, a dimmer pourrave ... Better to look to the Clubscan Electroconcept MK2.

If I had to make a choice, would not that be the ...

I use it for 4 years

I tried Robe DJ Scan 250XT, and I SOLUTION iRock 7S

The + +: the weight and size, brightness for the 250 msd, I think it comes back hot, and until now no fault, the DMX cable and sling offered 4m

The - two colors practically unusable red and green because they slaissent not pass enough light, amber is actually a slightly darker yellow, opening angle, the gobos are not indexable, not prism, but at that price obviously can not have everything!

Frankly in value for money, this is correct, and any failure, the service with Hit Music (Contest) repaired quickly and the customer service is great, we can find less expensive side but it would not be as SNA 950 .

I do not know if I would do this choice because there are new products, some with high power LEDs, and then scan the market is down because the tendency is for 5-6 year olds from the lyres, and there is also much less Manufacturers scans (mostly reliable). That is why I bought more scans but opportunity.
Otherwise it's a great product for the mobile disco or for small parties or fixed in a bar or pub

Before I had the 518 series with martin! but hsd 200! they were very correctesà the time!

Save weight and bulk, they were too old ... that is why I sought an equivalent to a very good value for money sold 1000 euros both completely revised.

What thing do you like most/least about it?
The pros:

rotating gobos, gobos are quite large and very correct and good light output with a bulb msd 2 / 250watts Philips fairly accurate in pan and tilt movement for the price nothing to say!

The -:

single defect and the original shape that makes the mirror less protected than older models, so be careful when handling the beast!

What is your opinion about the value for the price? Nothing to say except that I've increased them for a bit less than 500 euros You can find them still at a very correct TechSono!

# Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice? Yes! without hesitation!

3 years of business, purchased in OCCAZ, good product, despite some setbacks following an incident on my line dmx (surge?)
Change of 4 components of the 4 scans to re run the dmx. HS fan turned on a machine with about 1200 hours.
I got them fly box with 2 audio voice that I recommend.
Gobo cool, cool colors too.
Excellent speed pan and tilt movements.
Acceptable light output.

Regarding the maintenance of product: components difficult to access, disassembly and reassembly for tedious maintenance.

To conclude:
Recommended for mobile DJs who want to invest in scans without breaking the bank too
Too bad there is no prism.

I use them (I is 2) for approximately 4 years and I had not tried other models before.
on the other hand I had seen in quite a demo.

What I said is done without making a comparison with hardware such as Martin or dress or Claypaky.
This device many qualities:
- It is very bright thanks to its discharge lamp MSD250.
- Trs dynamic movements are rapid and specific on mirror.
- The amplitude of the mirror is large enough, you can not miss a piece of track!
- It is sturdy and well finished (the coating does not slip) with a nice design
- The DMX control is good for getting ready for the bright chaining
- I find it relatively quiet

The "little" less:
- Not much
- The weight, 12kg but nothing dramatic is the weight of a device qualitbr />
I find the report qualitprix interresting, even if we want it to be always cheaper

I would do without this choice problem, moreover, I intend to buy 2 more!

I use these scans for 3 months, they have so far provided over a ten meter.
Before purchasing these scans, I had the opportunity to touch a lot of products, more expensive (Martin MX-10, Dress ClubScan, Martin Mania SCX ....) and below the range of products Chinese lamps ELC250, DMX300, Aquila ... ClubScan Starway 250 ...
In short, just anything and everything ...
These scans bring me much comfort in my use (mostly discomobile).
Strengths: Speed, Brightness, Sharpness.
Weaknesses: Gobos original colors redundant ...

These scans have fully met my specifications, the shutter speed is unbelievable, really perfect in this respect. For the nickel electro AC passes.
The shutter consists of a single blade, it does not agree to all uses, forget the concert or the theater = This is anyway not the purpose of this product.
Otherwise throughout the product is correct, I would have liked to find a prism or a three-pronged focus-mail, but overall benefits are correct.
Add to this Contest and the VAS full circle, I know I should not have too many problems during the next two years (before replacing the park).
I currently 6, yet no breakdown.
If it all over again, I would do this choice (currently January 2011), because the LED will soon shake up everything here, I have no doubt.
