Installation under Windows is no problem as long as the beginners to follow the letter the recommendations of a configuration page as it http://jean.argenty.free.fr/musiques/Tutorialcsoundblue . html ( http://jean.argenty.free.fr/musiques/Tutorialcsoundblue.html ) (At o j'cris Audiofanzine about the tutorial does not yet accept.
Csound is available for all platforms and I test on Linux with which one does not encounter installation problem either. However Csound comes in various flavors (versions consoles, graphic, VST, with and without support for video), it is important, as long as we want the tutorial simplex About s'carter above to view Official site pages http://www.csounds.com/ English.
Csound comes from the English-speaking world and the lack of French-speaking users can not yet overcome all media in English, including excellent manual.

AMD Duron 1.6 GHz, 256 M0 RAM, Sound Blaster sound card with driver KX 10k1 1024, Windows XP pro.

The software works Fawn satisfactory for use probably average, but I plan to increase my ram.

The configuration is stable.

Customer Needs Csound for several years but I would fawn irrgulire am Fidler.
J'apprcie particulirement its power and flexibility. The TOC for this is a fairly laborious ACCS. User is trs prs code is both an advantage (the CONTRL is prcis trs) and a inconvnient the extent knowledge is matriser trs strained, however, interfaces such as blue (see AF) facilitate the ACCS.
I tried other programs (eg Buzz).
For the purchase price it is a free software under GPL, so it costs only dpense sweat during use.
I am a user of Csound Fidler and I discovering the best I apprcie.
