Guitar Made in Korea, finishes are made in France, in Lyon.
22 frets, pickups Modern 77.
A handle typed SG: 4 knobs, two for each micro (1 tone and 1 volume).
The price of this beast? € 345 New! (€ 357 with shipping).
UTILIZATION
I find the handle very nice, the slides alone.
Access to extra treble is simple (as SG requires ...)
The head tends to bite down, but it's not really a problem, it is still a little sore shoulder after one hour, but nothing scary.
Fairly simple to use, 3 mic positions are quite efficient and give depth to the game
SOUNDS
So I got it for Christmas this year, I bring my amp and plugged the beast and magic! Its rings! and even better ... it sounds really good! lol! My amp is a Hohner Panther home (you can check out the gear on this site ... not very conclusive ...), the sound that came out was rich in harmonic, although clear round, I put the overdrive on the way: I was amazed, my amp did not have this sound! A distortion that potatoes, that reacts and sounds like something! Back home, I was able to take all day to Angus Young! However, a sound that had never been too accessible ... Finally thank you for this little 77 Custom Gift! I also tried to empty the beast to let my family sleep in peace ... Wow! Beautiful, is not the violin will ruin the sound, quite the contrary ... I even thought it's empty there was so much reverb and the sound was echoed lens!
Being a fan of 80s Hard Rock (AC / DC, KISS, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Trust, ...) I was looking for his type "So British", I found the guitar, I miss more than the amp = P
OVERALL OPINION
I am captivated by the scraper. I might be disappointed with the experience but for now, I think that it will stay a while with me!
I was trying the twin guitar at the Epiphone, I decided to really test after taking the Custom 77 that I found much more sympathetic to the level of play
I love everything about this guitar, nothing bothers me!
Value price! ^ ^
I think with more money (not much) I can be taken from its big sister the same brand but otherwise the same budget, without hesitation, I remake the same!
I expect Mr. Custom 77 (Jerome for short) is preparing a little China Girl larger!
EDIT: After several months of dedicated service ... the beast is still with me and hopefully for long! I'll just change it to a P90 pickup in order to have a bluesy sound more defined and more attack!
Having bought an amplifier 15 W lamps while later, I could test it from every angle and put the same compared to a Gibson SG standard in ... the answer: as well as a standard SG! Just the handle is different because it is bigger on the gibson and the frets are not the same, but at sonoritées, I was amazed as to not feel the difference between C77 and Gibson (I prefer the C77 even more ^ ^).
