« SUPER SCRAPER »
Published on 12/31/12 at 02:05- Guitar made in China
- Hardware and microphones WILKINSON
- Wraparound
- 22 Frets
- Micro P90
- 1 volume and 1 tone
- Mahogany body and neck (body two parts)
- Rosewood
- Guitar look very authentic relic
UTILIZATION
Round super nice (at least for me, because I have large hands and the handle is rather large), it glides well.
Super ergonomic access to all acute what is better normal, it is a SG.
Featherweight: not more than 3 kg
Easy to use knob 1 flight and 1 tone (I have replaced original mounting SG 50's)
Would very well agree.
Maybe some defects finishes (inlay handle a little plastoc and a slight overflow between black handle and key, but really not very obvious)
SOUNDS
This guitar should completely my style of music being a fan of Louis Bertignac.
I tried a lot of P90 with this guitar and in the end I went back to the original microphone, which for me was the best in definition and power.
Warning, this guitar is not the most versatile, but what sound! with the P90, bold and rocky wish.
Moving from a light crunch to anything with a good saturation of the pick attack, micro very responsive.
I recently bought a Gigson SG, and I said at the beginning that was my Vintage pale next to Gibby.
But nay, it was enough to set a good microphone and then there is more to be ashamed of the price difference and the mark on the head.
Indeed Gibson pickups are set close to the strings at the origin, which is not the case on the vintage. Plots by setting a good plot for mettres closer to the strings and there is America, a much more punchy and biting.
Now I say it in a more incisive than the crystalline and Gibson.
I play on an amp all-tube Bugera V22, certainly not the best, but to good reviews on quite a site.
And I also play a head VHT Special 6 Ultra.
OVERALL OPINION
I use this guitar for over two years and am very satisfied, after some good settings it can even compete with guitars much more prestigious.
It was the only SG Junior I tried, since I have other guitars with P90, it is truly a micro that I love.
What I like most about this guitar is its vintage look, its simplicity, ease of handling and the SOUND!
The price / quality ratio is + that correct, although I have seen it again - expensive on other sites.
I would do this choice without hesitation.
It is closer to Gibson SG Junior older models than Gibson out now (heated maple fretboard, knobs and not to the same location as the original).
In short, a super scraper!
