UTILIZATION
Really an excellent replica of the Gibson SG Junior 1964.
The weight is identical to the original: 2kg500
Mechanical buttons are the same as on the original, ditto for the chavalet which also serves tailpiece.
His appearance "aged" is very successful, both in terms of the color at the level of the hardware that will even up screw heads damaged and rusted.
featherweight it is like any SG with a tendency to dive head so that imbalance in the game up (I can add weight in the cavity of the potentiometers to balance the beast.
The handle is very comfortable with a very easy access to acute (SG what!).
The mieene was almost perfectly set upon arrival, having changed the strings, I would make a few adjustments, but not much, the action is low and the handle perfectly straight so it does not frieze.
The strips are perfectly finished and polished edges.
The varnish is matt (old way) thumb slips neatly onto the back of the handle.
Micro and acastillage Wilkinson, I have several guitars fitted with Wilkinson and thank you for the money because it's all really good value.
SOUNDS
Then on the sound!
Equipped with a P90, this type of microphone is not height adjustable (dog ears), in this case it is necessary to unscrew the 6 pin microphone to adjust the power.
The advantage is that you can perfectly balance ENTERED string them.
After doing this with new ropes .............. Wouahhhh thick sound and the grain so special to P90.
Wilkinson P90 is really good, once properly adjusted it is quite up to the original.
This guitar is very versatile is made for the Rock with his Crunch or more saturated.
Its clear she is not doing bad either.
OVERALL OPINION
I month.
For comparison I have a Gibson SG Standard
but also three other Vintage:
SG VS6 GO (copy of SG guitarist Graham Oliver SAXON group)
V6 Icon (Copy of Blakie Eric Clapton)
Low VJ96 (Freetless copy of the bass Jaco Pastorius)
Needless to say, I love this brand ............ So to return to the Junior VS6 is at the height of her girlfriends.
I like this guitar is in simplicity, no bling bling, a single microphone and a SON!
After this is certainly less likely to dive head side, but I'll address it.
Value for very good price, this is not only an instrument for beginners as some might think.
If you want a good and simple cut for rock guitar, you can darken you will not be disappointed
