After the success encountered by the brand's 2007's Renown Purewood Rosewood drum sets, Gretsch Drums has announced three new Rosewood snares have been added to Gretsch's Full Range Snare lineup.
These new models differ by their size (5.5"×14", 6.5"×14" and 8"×14") but are all made of Rosewood, a hard and dense wood that projects a powerful full-bodied sound. Rosewood’s natural beauty contrasts its naturally aggressive sound. The reddish/brown wood grain features a complex grain pattern that is highlighted by the clear high-gloss finish. These snares feature 100% 9-ply Rosewood shells with 30-degree edges, die-cast hoops, 10-lugs (20-lugs on the 8"×14" version), 20-strand snares, traditional throw-off and adjustable butt plate.
No release price or date was announced yet.
