Installation is no problem, for my part I installed the 2006 over the 2005 version (I advise to users of version 2005 to do the same to the plugins installed concerver or additions made on previous versions, and unavailable or no longer available on this release) that this amounts to updating, for a complete installation is just as easy.
SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE
The configuration used does not require high power Band In A Box has always been a bit resource-intensive application, however, now with the possibility of using virtual instruments (VSTi) and ASIO2 will need to be careful because if it is If these instruments they require more resources for the use of streaming (so fast hard drives and large memory (1GB minimum).
I tested Band In a Box with Steinberg Hypersonic 2 (GM Module) and Native Instruments Bandstand and I must say that I have a preference for Bandstand which has brushes kits widely used in BIAB styles of jazz.
Attention, however, properly handle the delays putting sounds a little time to load (program change)
OVERALL OPINION
I use it since its release which is now one month, the biggest improvement in this version is undoubtedly the ability to use VSTi that was sorely lacking on previous versions and required the use of external modules GM to keep a more realistic virtual GM modules being up there is very little time convincing.
What I like least is certainly the interface that is a little older and has not changed for ages at the same time it is also an advantage for those familiar with the product from one version to the other there is no need to use réaprendre.
The value for money is perfectly fine and trade policy in this area PG Music has always been simple no price protection and very tight.
