SPL and Brainworx have collaborated to elaborate the SPL EQ Ranger Plus, an evolution of the original EQ Ranger plugin.

With frequency band settings designed by Grammy winning mixer/producer Craig Bauer and Brainworx founder Dirk Ulrich, the EQ Ranger Plus claims to offer a vast array of new, optimized combinations of center frequencies and bandwidths. These settings span across six genres and a total 181 modules (each designed for a particular purpose) to widen the available options for source treatment in any mix .

Every module setting also comes with a preset of boosts and cuts per-band, so users can see the intended gain setting behind each frequency selection, and have an even quicker path to dialing in their sound. Aside from all the new module options, EQ Ranger Plus also includes the three modules from the original plugin – Vox, Bass and Full Ranger, providing existing users of EQ Ranger with the sound they’re familiar with.

The SPL EQ Ranger Plus plugin is available for $199 from www.plugin-alliance.com. A free 14-day, full function demo is also available.
