Following the EQ4, the Maag Audio EQ2 is now modeled in a VST 2/3, AU, AAX Native and DSP, AudioSuite and RTAS plug-in for Mac OS X and Windows.
You’ll find on the EQ2 the famous Air Band section that was already included in the EQ4, with 6 frequencies, including a 15 kHz band that was not available on the EQ4, and a gain control. A second LMF band centered on low and mid frequencies offers a choice of 11 frequencies (bell filters) and a gain knob.
The other adjustments on the EQ2 include a Band In/Out switch on each EQ section and an input attenuation control, another new function that was not on the EQ4, and that will help you normalize the signal before EQing.
The Maag Audio EQ2 is available for $149 and you can download a 14-day trial version from plugin-alliance.com.
