Waves and Abbey Road Studios collaborated once again to recreate the RS56 Universal Tone Control passive EQ.
The Waves Abbey Road RS56 plugin reproduces the passive equalizer launched in the early 1950's and used by the London studios for mastering, and then later during recordings, for the EQ offers large possibilities of sound shaping.
The plug-in features 3 bands, each with 4 choices of central frequencies and 6 types of filters. You can also control the right and left channels together (linked) or separately and an Mid/Sid option is included, along with phase control. The GUI features reproductions of classic VU-meters with calibration.
The RS56 plug-in is available for the introductory price of $99 ($200 regular) in native format or $149 ($300 regular) for the SoundGrid format. More info at www.waves.com.
