I am also footswtich FS2 with two buttons: one button and a channel change button start / stop the effect. The FS 2 is the appropriate since it allows to control the effects, otherwise what good is a DFX?
In short, Good Features
The least: - EQ setting common to both channels (right and again ...)
- If there really is one less because no one is perfect, at the footswtich he is, not the amp because the footswitch only allows to stop or turn on the effect and not to change their effect. So if you want to change an effect over the same song, you have to do with your hands. That's why I put 9. Good on the other hand, it's about the footswitch which is not intended to be a pedal effect.
UTILIZATION
Config extremely simple. In addition, the manual explains everything and there is a small post it comes with the amp that explains how to have the types of sounds that is sought, blues, crunch, metal ...
Me personal, I play with an imitation Les Paul and I put the bass at 1 / 4, mids at 2 / 3 and treble to 3 / 4. The clean channel and one-half the gain in third with a master at 1 / 3. Good with the battery back, I increase the bass a bit to make it well in the jingles farts.
No complaints about the use ...
SOUNDS
Hmmm! .... here it gets interesting!
So now, it's not an amp for metal ... it's on, but we do not tell me we can not do much heavy rock genre of Staind or Incubus, because I 'plays it without problems.
My style is quite versatile but basically, I like to have a verse and a chorus acoustic electric fart. (Such as songs incubus: nice to know you, just a phase, or archive again, and outside Staind So Far Away, can not exist by Joseph Arthur, etc. ...
The clear sound is perfect
yes, and the evidence, when I plug my electric I almost sound acoustic amp, ideal for making a ptite session "Yes FM"! lol ... and even with the electric sound is crystal clear light, brings out the guitar sound is warm, not digital, unlike the line 6 spider 2, where the clean sound is digitized to death but that's my opinion of course! As for the fender on which I played, honestly, it's a matter of taste, I do not like slamming sounds too, too crystalline, so I prefer the HK has a more simple, less slamming, but Again, it's a matter of taste, the two are equal for two different styles.
The distortion is good but it's hard to have a clear distortion with a perfect perfect.
Strangely, it is powerful enough, which shows the versatility of this amp. I think I have a little trouble with because of my Les Paul has already fat sound like the distortion from the amp ... but I tried it with a Start and there, it makes better. To be honest, I think a distortion pedal would not hurt anyway.
The power of 60W is enough to cover a battery
I do not even have to push back the battery cover! So 60W is enough, I tested every weekend! but for the stage, depending on the coffee ... .. ca noise may be a bit tight if the coffee is great but this can go really! amplifier is made to be cranked! And anyway, there is the sound of coffee to relay ... I really hesitated because of the power but I guarantee that the battery cover 60w is enough.
Finally, the effects, simple but good
the reverb is well be felt, the flanger is powerful, it seems to have a plane above the head! the chorus is also very good and also the delay! need I say more! what's missing is the possibility to both encoreune effect change via the footswitch but that's something else ...
In short, it's a great amp for sonnorités it produces. It suits my style of zic, but I doubt that metal fans will not find themselves within.
But if you want a style to the incubus, to Coldplay, archive, it is perfect! thanks again to the passage of the acoustic distortion perfect for excellent
OVERALL OPINION
I use it for 4 months and it is correct! I got it for 290 euro nine playback via the internet and after testing elsewhere in the store.
What I like most is the amp, period! it is impeccable.
If there is a minimum, it may be history footswtich I mentioned above and saturation distortion is missing a foot but it solves easily.
I hesitated with a lot of amp, because I am very indecisive in general. It took me months to decide. I had a line 6 spider 2 and my ca soulé soon as it is scanned too.
My hesitation was with peavey (bandit, studio). And I do not regret my choice for the simple reason that peavey is excellent but the clear sound of the HK is the best I know of any brand in the transistor at that price. and clear sound was my priority in order to amplify or to play my electro couplets with almost acoustic electric.
And as I need an amp that is powerful and with a heavy distortion for the chorus, the HK is ideal for this price of course.See less20 - Ar SparfellPublished on 10/19/07 at 02:39 (This content has been automatically translated from French)Transistor amplifier 60 watts 1x12 Celestion Rockdriver

SOUNDS
The clean sound is clear without being aggressive you can almost say that for this type of amp it is warm and round and complies with the sound of the guitar. I play with a Line6 Variax and I find out the diffrence between the guitars. The amp makes both playing a Fender Thinline modlisation, a Gibson LP, or an acoustic guitar.
Lead sound is a little less than sound prcis clear. It is difficult to find a little saturated trs potentiomtre because the lack of finesse in the low rglages. I play almost as clear that I think its saturation, when it grows back, trs is important, but I do not know if this is sufficient to make "Mtal".
By plugging in a Tonelab between DIFFERENT styles amplifier are well reproduced and trs lamp ToneLab adds the natural warmth of HK.
The amp matches the style of music I play: Country / Rockabilly / Blues. I have a friend who made the Jazz with the same amp and the sound is also adapted this style of music.
OVERALL OPINION
I use the amp for about a year, I love the clean sounds. When I bought j'hsitais between HK, Marshall and Roland Cube 30MFX. I opt for the HK and I do not really regret it because it is naturally less versatile than the Roland Cube and less rock than the typical Marshall trs well it meets the sound of guitars and supports many trs effects.
If I change this amp for a while it will be lights, but if I had to take an amp transistors would be the same without hsitation
I put in note 9 to the Lead channel rglageSee less21 - iamqman

This is the amp that is favored by Tommy Thayer. Tommy is best known for his contribution to the band Kiss but he also helped to form the band Black N Blue in the early 80's. This was a hair metal ban that was based out of Portland Oregon.
This amp is a modeler of its own. It doesn't model anyone else amps but just a solid state clean and lead. It definitely has the Hughes and Kettener tone by far. It has digital effects as well and it makes this amp a perfect practice amp for some.

SOUNDS
This amp has a familiar tone that is distinct to hughes and Kettner. You have a classic clean channel which is a good clean for a solid state amp. The lead is edgy robust dirty channel that has a lot of gain on tap. This channel has enough gain for just about anyone to you. You also have a wattage selector on the amp as well. So you can drop the amp from 60 watt down to 30 watts and then cut it in half again down to 15 watts of power. This a great feature to get even more gain at a lower volume level. This is perfect for those who need to get a good tone and don't want to have volumes issues.
This amp works with any guitar you throw at it. You can use a Fender STratocatser or a Gibson Les Paul it really doesn't matter too much. The tone is there and it will adapt to what ever guitar situation you put it in.
OVERALL OPINION
This amp is no longer being sold new. They have since discontinued it so the used market is the only way to go. I would recommend this amp to anyone who needs a simple solid state practice amp and needs some effects built right into the amp itself. That way you don't have to lug around a pedal board of effects with you to practice with. This is an easy amp and it puts out enough volume to play in most band's rehearsals.See less10 - Audiofanzine FRPublished on 03/10/09 at 03:55(Originally written by marron37/translated from Audiofanzine FR)

- Yes, it sounds vintage with a modern quality too it (warm lows, crystal-clear highs...)
- I use it with a Strat (great for this amp), a Les Paul (good with a distortion pedal!) and an electro-acoustic guitar (even if the amp was only conceived for electric guitars, it reproduces the guitar's preamp sound perfectly).
I give a 10 to the sound because it's exactly what I was looking for.
