Ibanez 15R Tone Blaster
Published on 12/22/01 at 15:00I purchased this amplifier through Serramonte Music Center in Daly City, CA. I was just learning how to play guitar, so I wanted a good, cheap amplifier. I got this for $110 there, although you can purchase it through Musician's Friend for $94.99.
I really love the clarity of sound through the clean channel. There are no buzzing or static-like sounds that come out of the amplifier, and the overdrive channel isn't all that bad, either. I also like it's size. It's a small 15 watt, 8" speaker. But, not only can I practice at home with it, it even handles small gigs. I already used it to play some small gigs at my high school.

Although the overdrive channel is still not bad, I occasionally need the aid of my Boss Distortion Pedal. The overdrive channel sounds okay, but it can mess up your picking technique. Also, for a small practice amp, it is pretty heavy at about 40 lbs. And you might want to get a better amp if you're advanced-intermediate. Other than that, it's great for a beginner's amp.
The construction and quality is excellent. There are no loose knobs, the corners are well protected, and every single part is very secured. It can probably last for many years.
Overall, if you want a good beginner's amp at a dirt-cheap price, then I recommend the Ibanez 15R Tone Blaster. Its 15W of power, great reverb, 2-channel, and3-band EQ will get you jamming for hours and hours each day. You're gonna love it! Also, it has a headphone and CD input so you can play along to your favorite bands or practice without disturbing a soul.

The clear sound good without accents marks by not trsractif against the attacks and Difference trs or too neutral
The distortion is a bit messy on acute low against the mdum and comes out well: more to the big rock that spot.
OVERALL OPINION
By trs trs much good for beginners or working at home alone (but quiet eh!)) In cons I finally buy a good guitar (telecaster american series) and I was wondering if the microphones had a problem: little "twang", I try a laney lamp ... Verdict is not my guitar had a worry. The config is super simple. You plug the guitar and go.
EN clean sound is OK but no more. Saturates slightly larger it gets harder breath as already said more than half of the gain. J I found a mini parade (lol) you put the gain of 2 or 3 you put your microphones scratching on 6 / 7 it's been good sound for small solos.
In contrast to the metal drops, it's a catamaran!!
The manual is clear is two pages in french the rest is other languages
SOUNDS
For my music for the moment ca happens is playable

c the problem is that I have listened to the salesman tried to no other models in the same price range (eg Roland cube 15 or Line 6) and her prices with Ibanez it is more beneficial when it sells. C is not a problem at least I think will serve another.
All in all it clings and is not so bad lol.See less10 - voodoochild666Published on 09/29/07 at 02:00 (This content has been automatically translated from French)15 watt transistor amp, 2 channels, 3 band EQ, reverb.

Other than that equalization works well, amazing for an amp in this range.
The reverb is pretty blah.
Edit: I repeat there is little one and I must give glory to this small ampli.L other scratch was an Epiphone Les Paul plugged into a Fender PA system and a multi purpose zoom, and a Squier Affinity me and that my ampli.Ben sound was much better ...
OVERALL OPINION
Although sturdy and easy to use: perfect for beginners!
Defects in the amp will force them to pay all well if they want good sound, which, in some way, is a good educationally.
Also, come to get her drinking with crappy gear is all the more satisfying ^ ^.
A good amp for beginners, but not going to quibble plus.On saw the price ...
Edit: Check my edit in the sonorité.De addition, after comparing it better than the Marshall MG.See less10
