Roland has announced a new RTAS-compatible software editor for Roland's Sonic Cell Synthesizer Module.
Along with the already-supported Audio Units and VSTi formats, the addition of RTAS support will enable Pro Tools users to add Roland’s Sonic Cell to their digital audio workstation.
Sonic Cell is designed for computer-based musicians who need a sound module with the sound of a Roland hardware synthesizer. The Sonic Cell integrates within DAW applications via its onboard USB MIDI interface and editor software, which provides plug-in type control of patch creation, mixing of the Sonic Cell’s 16-part multi-timbral sound engine and multi-effects routing.
