The range "Mad Axe" was the entry level at Aria, this guitar was made in Korea.
Mine has a black body (laminate), black plate, maple neck with maple fingerboard 22 frets reported, and date of 1992 (series ST-01-3DB).
Electronic side, there are two simple microphones (inclined) and a double-sided easel, a tone and volume.
Hardware side, it's basic, mechanical oil bath and vintage vibrato type.

UTILIZATION

The handle is really nice, although a little soft (it is easy to vary the pitch by pulling ...), easy access to acute, the heel is not too pronounced.
The guitar is rather light and resonates well in spite of an empty body low-end laminate.

SOUNDS

It's a versatile guitar, with lots of personality for the price (of memory, I had bought new about 1300F - € 200 - bundled with amp).
When empty, it sounds good (the cavities in the plate pool as well help ...).
Connected, the sound a bit simple in the mind strata, the double defended well but is a bit messy. It is however very sensitive to feedback and microphonics.

OVERALL OPINION

I have now for over 15 years, it's been my main guitar for 4 years. I use it now in the third guitar tunings vary. She has a great personality for a low-end model.
The quality / price ratio at the time was unbeatable.
The electronics and hardware have not aged well (rust problems, bad contacts) and the frets were pretty dull but I do not make him presents!
If you find one in good condition today, it can be a very nice second guitar.
