« Great guitar »
Published on 05/14/11 at 09:37Made in USA (2002)
-Maple neck 22 frets
-3 Vintage noiseless pickups (so no switch S1 mounted)
Mechanical-type deluxe, high quality, therefore, particularly in terms of holding the tuning
-A perfect finish, served with a translucent varnish that reveals the wood grain ... beautiful.
For the rest there is a Srtat (except for the weight that is greater than that of an American Standard)
UTILIZATION
First of all when you take this guitar, what strikes first is that the hands are placed all alone, it's fast, flexible, almost enjoyable, the profile of the handle and painted this American Deluxe offers a comfortable game really striking. Having said this I am not here to talk of ergonomics srtats legendary, but some small details from the Deluxe range are true more ...
As for sounding an srtat you really not look far ...
SOUNDS
I play (I try to play anyway) mainly blues, jazz, rock, with sounds ranging from clean up sounds not too saturated.
Again there is a very versatile sound palette, but especially with the character. Do you still expect to sound like a vintage sound is still a bit more "modern", so a little less typical (which said it was necessarily a bad thing?). That said there are only a few licks or make some arrangements to return to slamming and richness of sound Srtat. Play with this guitar on a good tube amp and you will understand ...
However, attention to the choice of the amp because it is quick to bury the personality of the guitar (especially for its clear).
Overall the pickups have a lot of presence, even if it is less obvious to the microphone in the middle that, by itself, provides little thing after all.
Finally do not expect either, having large loadings "Metal" which are kept clean with this guitar, but I think I learn anything to anyone ...
OVERALL OPINION
I bought my guitar there is now a year and a half, and after changing a Blues Jr amp, I think I can say that this guitar fits perfectly with the spirit Fender: versatility and character ... It fits all styles and makes this little grain that has the reputation of this guitar.
More finishing his clear and microphones a notch above the standard, for a price not necessarily more expensive.
In my opinion this is the ideal compromise for a quality guitar for a price that does not fly as models am-called "legendary."
In short a very good instrument.
My rating 9.5/10
