The Fender Starts are such a fun guitar institute unique but brilliant design back in the mid 50s when it was originally conceived and put into production. This is a great guitar that has it a fantastic versatility and tone. One of the reasons this guitar is lasted so long primarily because it was one of the first electric guitars built but also was such a great feel and virtually an almost perfect guitar. This guitar has seen some revisions along the years but it still retains much of its originality's. This is a fun and brilliant sounding guitar.

UTILIZATION

The features on this guitar are very minimal but extremely important. It has three single coil pickups and one volume control knobs and two tone control knobs. You also have a five way pickup selector which allows you to pick each pick up for use and also the position between the two outside pick ups. Other than that the features are pretty basic this is a overall pretty limited guitar as far as modern features. It's a simple guitar and a simple use but for time. This is the hard tale which means there isn't a tremolo bridge.

SOUNDS

This guitar has a great tone for most music. It can blend very well from genre to genre of music quite easily. I've seen these guitars played in country music all way up to modern metal music. They're not that conducive for modern metal as much because they don't sound that great in drop tunings primarily because of the light body wood and the single coil pickups. But if you slap this guitar in the next position you get some great bluesy and rock tones. I really like the neck pick up position because I have a great sustaining and really highlights the character and integrity of this guitar.

OVERALL OPINION

I recommend every guitarist in the world to own a Fender Stratocaster at some point in life. It's a fantastic guitar and it's a must own for any guitars out there. Has great versatility and a perfect blend of tone, soul, and feel. You can find these very easily in the used section and pretty much new in any guitar and music retailer in the world.
