My friend got this guitar in a cheap amp/axe/case combo that cost about $250. I gave him 50 bucks for it. I believe retail is about $189.

For such little money, the Turser has a fairlt smooth action. With light strings, you can really tear. Tuners, while cheap, are functional and have never slipped on me. They feel very solid,as well. For an introductory model, the pickup selector and pots are quite good and have never crackled. Mine has a very uniform and pretty dark cherry natural finish which is probably my favorite part about this guitar.

First of all, the neck could be faster. The finish just isn't that silky. I had problems with a very persistent rattle on the 3rd string at the first fret. No matter what I tried, truss rod, action height, even filing the fret, I could not get it out. At basically any volume above a whisper, it is drowned out, though. Just a bit annoying. Strap anchor bolts are always loosenign themselves.

Overall solid construction for a cheap guitar. Is won't fall apart on you. It has been playing at its best for almost 2 years. Very very lightweight which experienced players might question, but it is more of an advantage with this guitar.

A great intro level guitar for new players. It will get you far for little money and prepare you well for playing a REALLY nice guitar. Not to mention, when you finally get the cash for that Gibson or Gretsch, you will wet your pants upon playing it. A good route for new guitar players.
