Ibanez SZ320
Published on 11/01/04 at 15:00I bought the guitar via mail order.
I liked the features and value.
I paid $400.
I love the original design!
It's a Strat and a Paul Reed Smith in one.
I've never played a guitar quite like it.
It has a beautiful tone.
The pickups are perfect.
I like everything so far!
Top notch construction!
The guitar is comfortable to play, durable, and as mentioned sounds fantastic!
Neck through design at this price. WOw!
I am blown away by this axe! I highly recommend it to players of all levels!
Can't wait to bring it to my next gig!
Cheers!

Ibanez SZ320
Published on 12/31/03 at 15:00Simply said, I love this guitar. I bought at a local store here in Puerto Rico for $500.00. I said the seller that I wanted the best guitar I could afford for that price. Inmedately, he showed me the Ibanez SZ320, which it was listed at a higher price (yeah, taxes!); but because I had the money, he gave it to me for the 5.
First thing that I liked: the looks. It looks like a black PRS, and I like PRS shape. It doesn't have a whammy bar. GREAT!! I hate them. The Gibraltar bridge is simple and very effective for sustain, since it's string-thru-body-style. Second, the sound and tone. This guitar is very versatile in its sound. I play it through a Carvin SX-300 combo amp. The clean sounds...…

I play it through a Carvin SX-300 combo amp. The clean sounds are VERY good, specially with the neck 'bucker. I love the bright sound of a clean Strat; but for jazz, this Ibanez got me hooked, specially on solos. And then we got dirty and heavy with it. Ibanez means rock, and this baby has a VERY good tone, in both the bridge and the neck humbuckers. I'm very pleased with this guitar.
I can't say anything particular that I don't like about the Ibanez SZ320.
It's a 3-piece set neck guitar with rosewood fingerboard, a Gibraltar III fixed bridge, a Mahogany body with maple top, body and neck binding, a 25.1 scale (great for my short fingers), 2 Ibanez SZ humbuckers ansd medium frets.
This guitar deliver big time. With its diversity of use, no matter your style or experience, it's a great guitar for anyone, specially at that price.

Excellent quality / price ratio
Published on 01/28/14 at 12:14 (This content has been automatically translated from French)- Manufacturing Korean
- 2 passive humbuckers
- Handle driver, 22 boxes
Warning! : The SZ produced in 2003 are not the same as following! The 2003 models have a mahogany body and maple reported and microphones deemed better bills.
I note down accordingly, damage Ibanez should be guilty of such practices.
The trick to recognize a 2003 first look: The saddle is white and turns black on previous models.
UTILIZATION
Without the ease of a model dedicated to 'Shred', the handle is nice and medium width.
The weight of the guitar is a little above average, but not uncomfortable.
The sound is 'full' rather typical LP or SG. The sustain is excellent.
SOUNDS
At ease in Blues...…

SOUNDS
At ease in Blues / Rock 'crunchy' as well as more extreme sounds. The clean sounds are rather convincing, but it excels on saturations.
OVERALL OPINION
New purchased there over ten years, it has not moved. Nothing to report violin side, it's tough. The hardware begins to tarnish quite severely, the chrome bridge is worn under the palm, adding a very nice vintage touch
Without necessarily being manic, it is an instrument that we must preserve for many years.
