For sound, it's a scratching of metal before it. It has two humbucker pickups for distortion so no problems, ditto for the metal and the saturated overdrive. For its clear, I am satisfied with myself but for those who play primarily in clear, it is better to look elsewhere than in ESP. Otherwise I also play with acoustic simulator (BOSS AC-3) and it's great!
The passive pickups do a good job, but for those who can, try to see to replace the original pickups with EMG HZ's a lot!

SOUNDS
The sound is fine with me: metal, metalhead from scratch, no complaints.
I play on my Roland Cube 20X with ML2 (Metalcore, cold saturated distortion) and AC3 (acoustic simulator). Frankly, the sound is not perfect (obviously for € 200 has not been a Les Paul Gibson to do everything) but we can do many things with. Crystal clear, bold, hot or cold ...
If there's one that I nth tired, it's a sound of Lead: bridge pickup, setting "Metal" on the amp, a lot of treble, not too low, good saturation and delay to resell . Perfect for solo melodic metal in the gnrer Children Of Bodom.
OVERALL OPINION
This is my first guitar, it's been two years since she supports me without complaint and I am very happy. At the time I enter the store and the salesman asked me what I want qe. Result I had a superb instrument for what I wanted!

Well it's clear, at or I play now it no longer suffices completely. I think as an ESP SV Standard next purchase, because it is built das best wood, it has 24 frets, a race driver, active pickups and a floyd. In short everything he lost this guitar, but to start we do not need.
Finally, remain simple: guitar-oriented metal, beginner level. If you already have the eperience or you learn very quickly as I buy another one.
