I bought this guitar from a friend.
It's a green strat copy and has three single coils. I paid him $100 dollars for it 8 or 9 years ago i have played it half to death. I've never really felt any overwhelming need to have any other guitar.
It's an excellent solid axe i can always count on to do what a guitar is supposed to do.
It's a guitar. It plays guitar music.
And it's a no frills electric solidbody.
I've acquired two new guitars recently just because i wanted something a little more stylish at first but i got a dean ml and it is no good stuck with that i ate the loss on that one one and got a jackson jx10 the jackson is a black dinky style guitar with stock jackson custom sey dunc hot rails.
I would seriously never ever in a million years give up my rockwood i can't trust any other guitar to be any good at any price but i know darn good and well that my rockwood will always play well. I have not replaced the pickups but i have worn thru the pu covers so i am replacing those now.
I lost the trem arm so i'm replacing that i replaced the chrome bridge saddles with graphite teflon coated saddles which are certainly the coolest breakthrough in guitar technology ever. And i replaced the white knobs with black ones i am also replacing the white pu covers with black ones. and may consider replacing the beat up white pickgaurd with a black one as well but i don't know if i could stand to do so we'll see i am not planning on doing it for sure anytime soon.
I've often wanted to replace the neck with one that had a fancy name on it but i can't trust the other necks they may be/probably are garbage. and may not work well.
So i guess i was always just embarassed i didn't have a fancy guitar with a cool brand name on it, but now i do and i don't care anymore so whatever i like it alot and dislike nothing.
I pretty much played it almost as much as anyones probably ever played a single guitar in a lifetime and it hasn't had a problem. no guess work it has proved itself well built.
This guitar is my guitar i imagine few other hohner rockwoods in the world are anywhere's near as cool as mine I would say if you find one which you probably won't without it at least being a rockwood pro or something. Give it a try what do ya got to lose it can't be very expensive.
oh and that wasn't brief was it? oops.
well, good luck
