AudioTeknikk has announced the release of MidSideMangler, a Mid/Side processor that is capable of traditional LR panning, MS balance, and more interesting Mid panning and Side panning.
It enables you to, for example, take a finished mix and move the centered vocal, bass and bass-drum and put them in the left channel and put the rest, that is left in stereo, to the right in the mix. There is a button to shift phase for the Mid section.
This tool can provide some stereo effects and give you a hand in the mastering of a problematic mix.
MidSideMangler is free and is available for Windows as a VST effect plug-in.
