Lollar Blonde

Set-Lollar pickups "blonde" Alnico 2 / studs not storied.
Mounted on a strat-Classic Series 60 'shell pink in good order.

the guitar since I was 6 years strat already pretty good but we felt that the original pickups were a little lighter.
So I decided to try Lollar's reputation, to know and be able to talk.
I chose the "blonde" knowingly, low output (5.9 K / 6.0 K), alnico 2 (less than brilliance in principle), non-layered plot. the idea was to get closer to its 50 ', and avoid creating a strat too dark rosewood pushing in that direction.
There was also a set even typed "50's", the "tweed" (5.3 K / 4.9 K), never seen with an output level as low, and I'm a fan of low output, I think my Blackface appreciated more ...

The SOUND: First, I specify that I know the range of replacement pickups Fender texas at 57/62 through the fat 50 'and others, and set some other brands such as Van Zandt blues seymour the SS1. So I can compare.

Adjectives to describe my impressions in order of importance:

& Sustain-harmonic sounds clear and with no variation in the intensity and angle of attack of the pick, we can sing some articulation of phrasing. especially in overdrive.
-Balance between 5 Positions all valid: the worst being the middle cross handle (lack of treble), all others are excellent.

In short, for me Lollar is a great winding, discover safe after targeting the general character of the microphones that we want to install.
