Tornade MS Pickups Strat '50s

this one week I try to set it on a micro Southwestern strat that I love but which, of course, lacked a "je ne sais quoi".

this really sound like I dreamed strat with 5 distinct positions that meet clear as saturated.

I own a Strat American Standard and I always found pretty bland and not enough typés.j 'I then changed the pickups for 57/62 fender.c' was better mics but it still lacked something quite chose.après research I came across the website of Marc Aymar and I read and reread all the reviews, I listen to the demos and I decided to contact me first by email and then by téléphone.suivant my style and sound I'm looking for it advises me set strat 50.et what is really the sound I've always wanted with my strat! slamming but not garish, accurate, three microphones are perfect and the intermediate positions to fall! I do not regret my choice.

I have a strat Levinson Blade 1993 R2 (ash body, rosewood fingerboard) on which I had already changed the pickups there a few years ago. It was better but still not that.

After reading many glowing reviews on micro Tornado MS, I met Marc Aimar at the show "Guitar the belfry." He made me try different strat pickups mounted on guitars and my choice was the "strat'50s" model. (By the way I played on his amps that are really amazing, it's more expensive than models "factory" but when you play it you know why!)

Finally after a long discussion about what I wanted, he asked me to rewire the guitar "old", turning the VSC (active electronics), armor plate, mount new knobs (250k including a no- load for tone), mounting a 50's set but with the micro bridge a bit 'wound'.

Results beyond my expectations: the sound of strat, the real one loves: bright but warm, dynamic but never aggressive! Sound "live", this, which works very well as a group (the other musicians did not return during the first rehearsal) without necessarily having to increase the volume of the amp. The neck and middle pickups sound exactly as expected on a strat and the bridge pickup is only really usable, perfect for me because not aggressive! The no-load knob is really a plus with these mics, it provides what you want, whatever the position of the selector, I do not regret active electronics useless with these pickups.
Short of that happiness for a month!

Pros: sound, very reasonable prices (all this work for not even the price of my old set of microphones), the hospitality and professionalism of grounds: it is a passionate craftsman, we can talk for hours about guitar with him, he knows a "ray"!

Owner of a Mexican Strat, the pickups did not satisfy me. They sounded too modern for my taste. Passionate old blues (Hubert Sumlin, Robert Cray ...) I was looking for more subtle microphones, clearer and with more character. First facing other products, I then discovered Tornado MS. At first, I got in touch with its founder, Mark, to ask his advice. It was very well able to meet this demand. In addition, he suggested me to try different mics. For such professionalism, I did not hesitate a second to order him a set of 50's single-coil pickups. Marc has installed itself, taking care to make all the changes and adjustments. It's custom. Once prepared my strat, I could try it again and it was another instrument. Exactly what I was looking for. Need to search on the internet of the new hardware, I now have what I need.
In conclusion, the pickups are excellent, the sound is clear, slamming, well defined, not garish, very organic, fingers as a pick sounds are breathtaking (completely absent from elsewhere, like parasites ).
The benefit is a very high quality (it should be a normal and not extraordinary fact) and all for a very reasonable price more challenging competition.
One regret though: do not be left with an amp made by Marc, but that's another story.
