Compressor upscale Neve. Dual mono or stereo. Further comprises a limiter per channel. The 100% analog design with a pretty retro and buttons big and ugly, we take pleasure in both the trigger "cloc" pleased to hear. Equivalent of 3309 with modifications (improvements?) Minor
UTILIZATION
Simple to use for all that knows how to use a compressor. But even for a beginner everything is clearly noted. The view are very readable.
SOUND QUALITY
The high end. This compressor works on all with equal success. Bass, drums, vocals, guitar ... but fun. I find it hard to listen to a kick or a snare drum that has not gone by that machine. Properly adjusted, this compressor makes everything magical treats. I like less the "limit" at least if one seeks the transparency. If one is looking for a sound effect cons, that's OK.
OVERALL OPINION
Used for years. I would do the same choice without hesitation. But it is often true for the high end. I find the J 33609 very versatile. It is expensive, certainly, but we forget the price for retaining only the sound quality.
