Published on 10/09/14 at 08:04I use Compressor DBX 166 for GC and CC, DBX 166A for low and before a Focusrite MixMaster on hand followed by a Aphex Dominator, but I was not very happy ... lack of binder.
With the Drawmer 1968 MK2 Wow, that's what I was looking for ... it ties everything well .... I'm really happy for a while modest 888 euro B-stock price at Thomann.
compressor lamp output XLR connectors rackabe 1U and not even heated.
UTILIZATION
I'm no expert, but easy enough you can go frankly ear.
Should not hesitate to put a low and back with the output gain threshold.
Just manual describes the function of the buttons.
SOUND QUALITY
Ben for the sound, I'm very happy. it's not clear it gives a color that I like. But above all this is the famous "glue" that sticks out the mix on hand of my Zed R16.
I have not used it for anything else.
I have not the opportunity to test large expensive compressor. I hesitated between Elysia Xpressor, but with everything I've read, I took the risk of taking Drawmer. I'm not about to do that Xpressor famous binder, it parrait me less well in hand.
What I hate is in bypass mode it sizzles with me, because this increases the volume a bit and suddenly it pop The VU meters are not very useful.
I hesitated a lot between 1968 and 1973 (three bands) but very little return on it because it is new, and not very good experience of the three bands with the MixMaster.
The lamp is 1968, while the 1973 I'm not sure.
What I like most is that how to tie my songs.
OVERALL OPINION
I've had a week.
It took 3-4 hours to make the sound when I put weeks with Focusrite
well I had the Focusrite Platinum which is not too bad but not the Glue.
I much prefer the Drawmer same for sound.
Well I think that there are other solutions, but having bought without trying I'm very happy.
