All user reviews for the Beyerdynamic DT 700 Pro X

I don't feel that making a long story adds to the value of a review, so I wrote down my impressions as they come to me.
I've owned these headphones for about 5 months now and used them extensively.
- The isolation of the higher frequencies is very good. Total isolation is more than adequate.
- The construction is sturdy and I like the minimal design. They are closed headphones but they don’t make my ears sweat as much as others do.
- The frequency response is very good for monitoring/mixing, though my personal taste deviates a bit from the Harman curve which these headphones seems to follow. I like the higher midtones less emphasized and tone them down a bit. The stage is very wide for closed cans.
- The earcups are a bit too small for my ears (I have big ears). In practice this is no problem. All in all they are comfortable enough for long listening sessions.
- The clamping force was a bit too much for me. I bent the yokes a tiny amount outwards and now it is fine.

Keywords: analytical, dry, isolating, designed for the job, price worthy. Too clinical for fun listening, but highly recommended for recording, monitoring and mixing.
