I have had this pair of headphones for years. I got them for music listening and wasn't planning on using them in any sort of recording situation. Overall, they are sort of an average pair of headphones. One of their best features is their comfort. They are very light weight, so you don't feel like you're wearing a helmet with them on. There is also a lot of padding on the top band and on the ear cups, so it's like cushions on your head. As for the sound quality, it leaves a little bit to be desired. There is not much bass in the headphones. That happens a lot with headphones, but with this pair you would expect more because they're a bigger size. The bass is actually closer to what you would get on a pair of earbuds, which is not much at all. The high frequencies seem a little harsh and tinny, so my ears get tired after listening for a while with these phones. Apart from that, they don't really get all that loud. This is probably actually a good thing, since it will save your hearing. I will say that a good thing is their durability. I've had them for a while, and they still work just the same as the day I first got them. Since they are closed ear, they shut out outside noise pretty well. You can use these on the subway and still have your own world of music, unlike earbuds where you can hear still everything else going on around you. They're not that expensive, but again they're not that great so it's really just an average value. I've used a bunch of other headphones, and there are better ones out there. I probably wouldn't get the same ones again, because there are newer better models out.
