Published on 08/13/11 at 02:44I use my two RMP-2 for a little over a year.
I have not had any major problems so far, but a deck has just "let go" completely: each disk insertion, the message "disc error" message without the disc turns! Of course, one month after the warranty ...
I mix with a friend, so we had chosen the same model every two turntables, and he had more trouble: first a problem with the RCA output from one of his plates, repaired with the warranty (but after a wait of several months), and now he has the same concern as I do on two turntables! In other words, a plate of four functioning again after a little over a year of use, it's totally outrageous! And especially since they have hardly been used at home! And we remain displaced in their original packaging, etc ...
Of course, I found pleasant in size and features they offer but the quality is far from what I expected ...
I tried the Denon DNS-1200 before purchasing my RMP-2, through a friend. I could not find it nice to mix because of their small size ... However, they still work perfectly when it's been over two and a half years that he uses, and that he moves much more often than me!
The price / quality ratio is very bad, in my opinion.
With experience, I would save a little more and I would choose my turntables Pioneer or Denon. I do not have that choice clearly would do again!
